Hi Inuk, I wasn't in last night (trying to study) so I don't know how this came about. From what experience I've gained at admin so far I can assure you it's not always easy. The other night I had to red dot some-one for Karaoke, he spent the next half hour PM'ing me (I know I should just have kicked him out). He also swore blind that DW Ditty was playing a recording and not live, so why couldn't he?

Another time when, the room was quiet, a bloke played some lovely Clannad-like music on a synth and another regular admin PM'd me to ask why no red dot. At the end of the piece the other regular admin took the guy to task for playing a recording at the end of which he rather bashfully replied that it WAS live. In the last example I'd sang so much over the previous two hours that I was happy to let it go even if it was recorded. On that occasion there were at least 5 or 6 regular singers who were all just having a lazy night and didn't want to sing, which is of course their perogative.

Maybe this was something like what was happening last night, I don't know. All I can say from an admin point of view is that it is not always easy (esp. if you're not experienced, or not a singer/musician) and it's a joy when we see people like you, Alan, Flipper, etc. who will sing at a moments notice.

The hardest thing I've found btw is when it's late over here and I want to go to bed but there's no-one to take over admin or they say they've gotta go now too. That's pretty hard when you've been doing it for three/four hours already. Ask Jon he'll tell you.

Hopefully this was just a blip Inuk, maybe you might like to consider helping out with the admin (sorry - maybe you already do, just not seen you with a hat on :-) ).
