They didn't stop Windows carrying their programs. They stopped using a particular technology - WMA - to stream them in favour of a newer (and non-proprietary) one. Some 'internet radios' were unable to adapt, though most were. In the FAQ I linked to it says We are currently able to offer alternative streams for the Q2 so that reception of BBC live broadcasts can be maintained for all national and local stations worldwide. So you should be able to receive live BBC radio on the Q2. But I think you need to update the configuration program on your PC.
