Stanron Tech: Photo files with windows 10 (11) RE: Tech: Photo files with windows 10 19 May 16

I'm assuming that you know where your photos are kept on your computer and how to get there.

The standard way to make a new folder is to right click (in the folder where Windows has already put your photos) and select 'New Folder' This creates a new folder with the name 'New Folder'. When it first appears the name 'New Folder' is highlighted and this means you can type in a new name of your choice. If it's not highlighted you can right click on the name, select 'Rename' and enter the name of your choice.

Make and name all the new folders you want and then go through all your photos and drag and drop them into the correcy folders. You may want to rename individual photos as well. As with folder names this can be done with a right click.

At the end of all this you might find you have copied your photos into the new folders instead of moving them. If you have done this you might want to delete the original photos to save space.

You can move or copy groups of adjacent files by single click on the first, hold down Shift and then click on the last. Dragging with the right mouse button gives you the choice of copying the files or moving them.
