I've just had a look at the Win 10 photo program. I use 2 browsing options with digikam: Album View follows our folder structure which on our shared drive goes /pictures/user/year/download-date/ (everything is viewable but only "owner" can edit/delete) Tag View, eg. /animals/pets can show all our pets and /animals/pets/mewan would limit things to just this one cat in the "tag tree". I can at least use the file structure if I wanted to display photos on the living room tv, via Andriod apps, etc. But the Win 10 program so far seems to ignore this. All I've got so far is everything combined in one date sort, in our case, Pip's photos, my photos, etc. all lumped as one collection. . Does the album option help sort/group things? I guess I could play further but the laptop (Asus/ Intel Skylake i7, 8Gb RAM which came with Win 10 - I keep the Win as a "just in case") has been chundering over downloading/indexing/whatever it does when you first add a folder for over 2hrs now.
