I was booked to play on the press run of The Freedom Train around '73. We were assaulted by the PA blaring the official song HERE COMES THE FREEDOM TRAIN, recorded in Nashville by Porter Waggoner and the Nashville Philharmonic. I can remember part of one verse;
"George Washington was the engineer John Adams shovelled coal And Franklin punched the tickets and Tom Paine added soul.",
