Well as strange as it may seem, I'm a NY Pinewoods FMC member and I have been for about 4 years. I don't go to the meetings and events because it is about 1623 miles from my front door here in Ada, OK. I keep my membership current as my small way of helping their organization. I'm also a member of the Houston FMS for the same reason.
I met a number of NYPFMC members when I went to Folk Music Week at Pinewoods Camp (no relation to NYCPFMC). When we lived in CT we went to a Bok, Muir, Trickett Concert in NYC sponsored by NYCPFMC. They, both the club and BMT, did a great job.
