By golly, the critter went and done it on his main PC (after last summer when the WIN 10 upgrade crashed and burned my laptop, I was afeared). Now, that cloud stuff and all? I think I turned all that off when I did the install. Then, the swearing began. Until I wanted to check out a site that didn't appear in my SCREWED UP favourites in Edge. Edge put me on the edge of my seat, if not further, for a wee bit. That's when I was asked what App I wanted to use and THERE IT WAS! IE. I clicked it and got my IE back with all my favs and IE working just like it always did. Pinned it to the taskbar and I stopped swearing... for now. We'll see. But, I am cool with it for now.
