I have a Mansfield bass that my dad bought me in 1972, I think.
It looks like a Gibson SG body. Was a good workhorse for me as I played in a country band for a couple of years. All these years I didn't know much about it but I find out that the same company that made Ibanez in Japan made these.
I went to a an Ibanez website that has all their catalogues from the 70s and I look at 1972 and they show 2 models and one of them is exactly the same as my Mansfield. Cool. They are supposed to be a hot item for some collectors but I haven't explored that yet.
