Recommending 'sessions' is always, I feel, strongly dependent on the expectations of the person you're recommending a particular location to. I have been told off very harshly after making recommendations for very fine sessions because 'the musicians were paid'. Well, wake up 99% of regular sessions have a few people who are hired to turn up and make sure things move along. On the other hand, there are some lovely quiet places where music is played that would not appreciate much being invaded by all comers after advertised on the interwebs. We have Jackie Daly on Friday nights, FWIW.
