I have uploaded this song on two occasions on YouTube. The first time, I used a guitar and covered the version sung by Fess Parker that was used in the 1950s TV series, Davey Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier. 12-string Guitar: Farewell To The Mountains (Including lyrics and chords) At a later date, having found the lyrics here on Mudcat, I did another version using my autoharp for accompaniment.
