Well, Kevin - the idea of suspension with pay is to take the employee off the job immediately after a shooting, until all questions are resolved. I think that most police shootings are justified, even ones that may not look good from some perspectives. But it's unfair to remove an employee from the payroll until there's proof of misconduct. And yes, people get upset at suspension with pay, but it's the right thing to do. -Joe-
