Whitby was a great festival when EFDSS ran it, overall Malcolm made a good job of it too. I do not know about the present organisers, because I havent performed there since Malcolm ran it. I was one of the people along with the Wilsons that was involved in starting the successful singaround in the then "CuttySark". I have played numerous whitby folk festivals and folk clubs over the years, I understand one of the organisers is Sue Knevett, who used to be involved with Cleethorpes[ now defunct]. All I know is that they are running a festival, which in itself is a plus.
