Linn- Excellent work! With regard to "Jolly Roving Tar," while I was pointing out its origins as a song in the play Old Lavender, produced in 1885, what I sang was a version that has been heavily folk-processed and very close to how most of us now sing the song. The song has been greatly improved from its original lyrics. Charlie Ipcar
