The three volume controls on my Carvin X60 have become noisy, and there are a also couple of dead spots. I have sprayed each of them with electrical contact cleaner which made an improvement, but to do the job properly I need to remove the amp section from its cabinet so that I can get some contact cleaner to the potentiometer tracks. As there is not much space inside the cabinet, I don't think that I want to risk damaging the valves. So 2 questions - 1. Does anyone know of an amp tech in the Croydon UK area and 2. Has anyone actually removed the amp from a Carvin X60 amp?
