Confess the plethora of mail I am getting from AARP/UHC regarding insurance is bewildering. Some of it is advertisement and some of it may or may not be stuff I need to fill out return related to me already signing up for their Medicare supplement. I'm not stupid, but it isn't easy to figure out. Anything with 'standard postage' on the envelop gets tossed without opening. Even so, the rest of the 1st class mail is overwhelming. Ditto all the mail from Social Security and the state retirement system. Give me a break! Hopefully there will be a confluence, once I actually retire from the clinic, of enough free time to open and read and decide, answer, file away or shred, and a decrease in the deluge of mail sent first class that I don't think it is wise to dump in the recycle bin without first reading and comprehending. Dang! A big reason I am retiring at least a year early is I am fed up with the bureaucracy and all the accompanying paperwork! Somebody toss me a song as a life preserver.
