Insofar as shaking hands is a way of demonstrating non-hostility, doing it with both hands makes more sense, since it cuts out the possibility of using the other hand to clobber the other person. But I don't like the version where the left hand grasps the other persons hand as well, or worse still the wrist - it feels over controlling. Some politicians seem to favour it. ............,,,,,,, Right there, gargoyle - I really hope that Trump's extraordinary use of gestures to orchestrate his speeches won't becme common practice.
