Thanks for posting, Sioban. I never met your dad in person, but I worked closely with him for years and I really enjoyed it. I felt he and I were kindred souls. Our most ambitious project was to transcribe and post all the songs in two Gold Rush era songbooks written by John A. Stone ("Old Put"). We had a great time on that. He did one book and I did the other - we competed. He won, of course. He was the only Mudcatter who might have had a better folk music library than I have.
