As some of you may know, I have been working on a Falstaff adaptation in hopes of having it presented in theaters. The adaptation is close to complete but I would like to have a song to end the play after Falstaff's Death. The song line "Where is the life that late I led?" occurs as sung by Falstaff and also as sung by Petrucchio [in both the Taming of the Shrew and Kiss me, Kate]. The Cole Porter song as presented in Kiss Me, Kate has too many anachronistic lines to be considered. Care to take a shot at it? If the play gets produced you will get song writer credit and a chance to perform the song on stage--perhaps even an opportunity to join Actors Equity. I can send you the current draft of the play. This is the only place where I will consider using lines that Shakespeare did not create in the plays.
