I remember my mother telling me her sister sang it in an amateur concert on Merseyside (for our American friends, that's the area near Liverpool on the west coast of England)sometime in the 1920's or 30's. I don't remember all the words she recited to me, but it did include, "So what was I to do with the body in the bag" in each chorus.
