Ah, haven't been there since you were at the Garland Ox! It's a bit of a long way from sunny Bude when you can't drink and drive. Our local was the Tree Inn in Stratton which John and Cheryl ran beautifully. That eventually gave way to a session which still goes on there. I don't suppose you can tell me the name of the wonderful chap who made a washboard for my little lad about 25 years ago? My son's 36 now but I've "inherited" that lovely washboard! The last time I was there Tom McConville and Pauline Cato were the guests. I played some tunes on my harmonica and I remember the very bouncy wooden stage on which it was best if you didn't tap your foot when you were playing! Happy days!
