Pretty unlikely that Otto Kelland, a life-long Newfoundlander, would set his nostalgic song about the life of a fisherman in Nova Scotia. Don't Newfie fishermen ever go that far? Cod fishermen used to cross most of the Atlantic fom Europe, centuries ago. I'd have expected them to go wherever the fish were.
