to briefly divert about the cornish folk scene apart from brenda wooton, there was an invasion in the early sixties offolk singers, blues singers songwriters from other places who sang american folk songs, wizz jones, ralph mctell, donovan etc,these were described as beatniks. cyril tawney was not a beatnik and was not involved in this scenek, which was geared to some extent around st ives. JERI AGAIN I WAS FECKIN WELL THERE, IN 1966, so i am talking from first hand experience, so will yopu just feckin listen instead of misquoting inaccurate feckin obits.
