It is with great sadness that I have to report the death of Eberhard "Paddy" Bort, chairman of Edinburgh Folk Club for the last 19 years. Paddy was a great encourager of younger talent in the traditional music scene, and his presence will be sorely missed. We (myself as vice-chair and the rest of the committee) will try to soldier on as best we can, as Paddy would undoubtedly have wished.
