Storm Doris might just be a high spike in a usually mild climate, or global warming might be bringing on a new era of violent and unstable weather. We'll just have to see. Meanwhile, it is foolish to say that storms like this don't happen in England. I have just been looking at footage on the Telegraph site. It is not comforting. "Storm Doris has also claimed its first victim after a woman died in Wolverhampton when she was hit by a piece of roof the "size of a coffee table", while a school pupil is in a serious condition after gymnasium ceiling collapses on 40 children." Those children should not have been in a weak room like a gymnasium! People should not have been outside in that weather. In the film, I see women trying to walk in high winds while wearing high heels. Um, how unrealistic can you get?
