It didn't fall; it blew sideways. The most recent winter storm was a high-wind event no matter where you were; it was the precipitation that was variable from spot to spot. But now the bone-dry blue sky is back, a fresh layer of snow covers lawns and roofs, and every paved surface that was not treated and cleared in time, is iced over, with or without snow in the ice. Bee-dubya-ell disclosed on another thread that the naming of winter storms was a marketing ploy by the Weather Channel, or, as original poster Gnu calls them, the Weather Terrorists. That was news to me as well.
