I saw Chuck on a package show possibly in 1964 at the old Finsbury Park Astoria, when he was backed by the Nashville Teens. He stopped in the middle of a song and told the keyboard player to turn down and leave solos to himself!!! I remember that he had a huge Gibson amp, nothing was miked up in those days of course.

Listening to many of his records this morning, it soon became obvious that he never tuned his guitar before a recording session!!!

He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
