Well, this is very true, Greg - but then, in that case, surely we oughtn't to use our rear view and wing mirrors if it's so critical. Glancing momentarily at my SatNav, which is actually within my driving field of view, may be less of a hazard than looking completely away from the road in front to look in the mirrors. But we're urged to look regularly in our mirrors... Just saying.
