I never met Joe in person, but we exchanged emails and sent each other recordings across the ocean. When Susan and I were talking about doing a short trip to Britain in 2004, he offered to put us up. I'm sorry that we were not able to do the trip and not actually meet. I loved reading his email newsletter, Ramblings of an Old Codger.
