Sometime within the last 15 years or so, a children's musician (or a musician with more than one or two children's albums) recorded a version of "Aiken Drum".

Instead of having the 2/4 rhythm, it was more like a bluegrass or country-music 4/4 type accompaniment.


I cannot for the life of me recall the artist's name - I think he had a Jewish surname.

Any help would be appreciated.

By the way, I'm putting together a program of American folk songs for children - this thread has been very helpful so far! :)
