For most people who commit such crimes, I am sure death must be a welcome release....just imagine living such a horror. Keeping them alive is the real "revenge"...... cruel torment. As I have said already certain types of crime are beyond the pale, society should make sure that these people are removed permanently. What has the cost of dementia treatment to do with this issue Steve? "You really are clueless, aren't you?" ....there is no analogy.
