Iains BS: Trump fires FBI Director Comey 9 May 2017 (159* d) RE: BS: Trump fires FBI Director Comey 9 May 2017 20 May 17

1) Like it or not the media is controlled by very few people and if you believe in editorial independence you can tell me all about fairies.
2) If you do not like the electoral college initiate change.
3)Until such time as investigations occur and report the US in a hiatus
of sensible government.
My own take on the situation is that the US has interfered in the democratic process and elections of other countries for decades. Does it really make sense for the powers that be to leave their own process open to manipulation? And if they apparently did(should the rumours be true) one would have to ask why?
The more allegations thrown at Trump the more it raises concerns about deep state. The majority view on this forum seems to take everything the media feeds them at face value. Is critical analysis dead? This I find extremely worrying.
I believe we are seeing mission creep for the engineered takedown of a President with increasingly outrageous allegations being publicised.
Excellent news for those responsible but bad news for both the electorate and the office of the President, irregardless of who is in office in the future. I would have thought a little analysis would be in order instead of wholesale cheering. Who actually benefits when all this has concluded. Emasculating the office of the Presidency benefits no one in my opinion.
