Hi again, Mom. We've had a fair amount of rain here in Floribama also, resulting in a bumper crop of chanterelle mushrooms. I was going to go pick a bunch this afternoon, but got sidetracked when I walked past my pond and saw a Florida cottonmouth frolicking about in the water. I abandoned my mushroom hunt and returned to the house where I grabbed one of these and returned to the pond, only to find that Mr. Cottonmouth had ceased his frolicking and gone into hiding. He refused to show his face again, the coward.

As a result, I have been forced to reschedule the meeting between Mr. Cottonmouth and Mr. Remington for early tomorrow morning. Will advise outcome of meeting tomorrow. I suspect Mr. Remington will get the better end of the deal.

By the way, I do not dislike snakes. I only dislike cottonmouths who choose to take up residence in my pond where my dog likes to play. If Mr. C. would like to relocate to a nearby creek before sunrise, the meeting with Mr. Remington will be canceled.
