A friend of mine just got taken for $3,000 USD in a "jury duty" phone scam. The caller pretended to be a police officer and told my friend that there was a warrant out for his arrest for having not reported for jury duty, but that the issue could be resolved with no arrest. You can guess the rest of the story. Jury Duty Scam Just a friendly reminder: Officialdom does not call you if you've done a baddie. Bureaucracies do paper, not phone calls. Depending on the severity of your offense, they will contact you by mail or they will knock on your door.
