punkfolkrocker BS: We have a Lady Doctor! [Dr. Who] (74* d) RE: BS: We have a Lady Doctor! [Dr. Who] 18 Jul 17

We became avid followers of the rebooted Dr Who, finding much to like with each new regeneration.
Capaldi was an excellent choice, though at barely a year older than me
I was concerned how his knees would stand up to all the running.
His choice of vintage Yamaha electric guitar was inspired..

However, during his 2nd series we became fatigued with the constantly over convoluted scripting
and lazily resolved plot hole ridden episodes,
by writers who consider themselves much cleverer than they actually are,
so just stopped watching.

A shame, because the high-caliber cast deserved much better.

We planned to catch up on 7 or 8 episodes and a Xmas special, but it never happened.
and completely missed the 'Bill' series.

Now I don't even care about spoilers.

I did watch the 'special' episode recorded with Binaural sound
but was unimpressed with the haunted house story, and found the new assistant Bill to be too irritating..
an obvious kid's TV character..
Even the Binaural sound was hardly noticable through good headphones,
let alone anywhere near as breathtaking an experience as TV critics promoted it to be.

We might watch the the first episode of the new female Dr.
But honestly don't care any more.
