Mr Red BS: Why did the vegan cross the road? (40) RE: BS: Why did the vegan cross the road? 14 Aug 17

Homo Sapiens is an omnivore.

Not quite as dependent on animal protein as felines but it is as much a conceit to exclude meat as it is to balloon on it. 2.5 million years of evolution should tell you, we became intelligent by finding and preparing nutritious and rich sources of food. And gorged rarely. Those that eschew medicines and processed foods should .....................

think vitamin B12 at least. Tablets are, of course, not processed, nor are bean curds. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Vegetarians and vegans may live longer but they, as a class (average), spend time looking at their intake. Whereas all others are lumped in with those that are less than careful with food (and life!).
There is evidence that reduced intake (careful now) can extend life, and vegetarians/vegans have to eat far more bulk to get the same energy equivalent it probably serves as a reduced intake regimen.

I know that dancing on a breakfast of porridge for a week makes one weak. One sausage roll before 12 seems to redress the balance.

Peanut butter? Pahhhhhhhhhhhh. Not in my religion!
