Not true and it has very little to do with Trump, and a great deal to do with your last President - Barak Obama - go back and read the deal he struck with the Afghan Government when the withdrawal date was set. HE committed the USA to backing financially, economically, socially and militarily the Afghan Government in it's fight against internal and external enemies until 2024.

Donald Trump has just done a U-Turn on his promise to actually get out of Afghanistan completely and leave it to it's own devices. This decision has been taken on considering the best course of action with regard to the best interests of the USA - Which means that while Trump might have announced it he certainly did not make this decision on his own.
