The short answer is, "Yes but not very much". I'm a Brit who spent the summer of 1965 on a working holiday in the States, based in Hartford Conn., where I met some guys who ran the Folk Guitar Workshop (above the United Nations Gift Shop on Church Street). I went with them to the Pesky Sarpent on the evening of Monday, 23 August, which was a hoot night. Unfortunately, I can recall very little of that night or the place itself, other than the fact that it was in a basement. I do seem to recall being told that Patrick Sky had played there quite a bit and his first album contained "Rattlesnake Mountain", the song from which the Pesky Sarpent took its name. The previous Saturday (21 August), I'd been in Boston and saw the Chambers Brothers at the Unicorn Coffee House. The Pesky Sarpent was somewhat of a contrast.
