Maybe this will turn into a thread listing favorite women folksingers/musicians. Some of the women I listen to a lot (now and in the past) include Odetta, Maybelle Carter, Peggy Seegar, all those blues ladies, Hazel and Alice, Holly Near, a singer I think that goes by the name of Frankie Armstrong (she's blind? I can't remember her name which is embarrassing), Jean Ritchie, Sweet Honey in the Rock, and I know there's about a million others but it's late and I'm perimenopausal. blt
