When I worked at Heathrow in the early 70's, we met citizens of literally every country in the world over the course of a year. I once overheard a tea-room discussion about whom we liked least, and I remember that the unanimous vote went to young Aussies. They typically refused to join the Commonwealth queue on the grounds that their ancestors had been British; they resented having to carry a passport, and were rude and aggressive. Some forty years later a group of us met up again and the same discussion took place. Same result, and unanimous again.
