Getting back to the rabbits, there are thousands of them on the cliff slopes between Beer and Branscombe in Devon. I've been running from Beer to Branscombe and back several evenings a week for the last 3-4 weeks and they're everywhere. Almost every field I enter has dozens of them grazing, and then running like crazy for the bramble hedges when they spot me. They're all round Branscombe village too, in the allotments and gardens. I was really surprised not to see any rabbit dishes on the menu at the Mason's Arms when I stopped there the other night! I don't see them on "the other side" between Beer and Seaton, though, which is much the same type of terrain.
