Joe Thompson's recording of "Oil In My Vessel" eventually made it to youtube. I think it a good guess that his recording is the source for other recordings of the same song. Not sure if Dani asked the question on this thread or another of the several threads where we mix up several songs and learn much -but she wanted to know what church he and his mother belonged to as his mother and/or his early church were his early cited sources for this song. He was raised in a Holiness Church in Alamance Co. Oil In My Vessel
