There's indeed a hint of what we used to call cabaret about it - small club, smoky atmosphere, intimate tables with cocktails... 1930s Berlin or French "caf'conc" bars.

Anja should hire a nice, not-too-big venue with tables and chairs set out like a cabaret - bar in proximity - get her band with her, promote it well and charge on the door.

Folk it ain't, and it's only mildly jazzy in the sense of the word that typical jazz audiences would understand. Nice stuff, though.
