You may be up again free competition, but most private homes have some budget for it. Municipal homes often pretend they don't have a budget for it but they're likely not being entirely truthful. Depends where you are of course. Cold calls do work, and offer your services for a variety of times during the day. For many years my guitar/fiddle duo played before lunch and we were told that residents tended to eat better, and it broke up their sometimes very long days.
