Just be a freethinker and eschew the dogma of the ideologues of all persuasions. Study the issues thoroughly and use your own moral compass to adopt a position. Those who embrace the dogma of the Democrats or Republicans or Conservatives or Liberals or the right or the left are no different than those embrace the dogma of a religion, IMO.
