I think I was mostly surprised at how few of the folkies joined in. Are there some clubs/ sessions where shanties are not sung? ( Known) I didn't think we sounded anything like Fisherman's friends - 3 female voices in a chorus of 6 I think I am a bit prejudiced against female voices singing shanties anyway - even if we could all sing. I think of it as a ' man thing' - this is from someone who used to ride a motorbike and always supported equality. The last of my prejudices? FloraG
