Miracle of wine into water! Herself was gesticulating during dinner one evening and knocked a glass of house red wine over, most of which ended on my light blue lightweight trousers. Other diners had the usual tips: white wine, salt etc. but I thought we'd wash them when back at the apartment. However, once the liquid had dried there was no mark to be seen, even next day in daylight. I'm not accusing the establishment of watering their carafe wine, so it must have been a miracle! The trousers weren't sold as stain-resistant, though as a messy eater that might have been a good selling point.
