We had some visitors at our folk club in Brampton last night (17-09-19) who sang Tom Paxton's Ramblin Boy. They introduced it by saying that they had been told that it was written by Tom Paxton while he was waiting to perform at a folk club in the North East of England in the sixties. Is there any back-up evidence of this?
