Merde. I posted an update but it seems to have disappeared or not "taken". Tonight is a screening of Dave Hallowell's short tribute film "Tom Hall - Musical Life, Musical Community" at the Portsmouth [NH] Athenaeum at 7p.m. Besides the film, there will be songs and reminisces by some of the people who were influenced and mentored by him. Tom Hall, lest you forget, is Mudcat's "Curnudgeon", my late husband, founder of the legendary Press Room sessions who helmed the Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival for many years until his death in 2013. Tomorrow night (Friday, September 27th)is the traditional unofficial PMFF kickoff session downstairs at the Thirsty Moose Taphouse on Congress Street, Portsmouth, from 4:30-8:00. The festival is, of course, this weekend, Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29. PMFF The film will be shown again (with the attendant stories and songs) on Sunday, September 29th, at 1 p.m. upstairs at The Press Room. Linn
