Hey folks, here's a song for some pickers, maybe. Lyrics are anything but final but the chorus has been in the back of my mind for awhile. Opinions welcome

Sadang Husang

Introduction: A long time ago I worked on a job with a man from Kentucky who had a real thick accent. It was in the latter Reagan years, when Saddam Hussein was beginning to make a world class nuisance of himself, and this fellow talking about him kept calling him "Sadang Husang."

I said, "Who?" He said, "Sadang Husang, you know that Iraqi dictator?" "Oh, " I said, "yeah." He said, "I thought I heard the President saying he's going to get that dang Sadang Husang."

I could never take Saddam Hussein seriously after that. He was always Sadang Husang to me, but nobody ever knew why I called him that, unless I explained about my friend with the accent, and, of course, it's just like Red Skelton used to say, "When you have to explain them, they're no good." To me, it was too funny not to be a song title, but I never came up with any more lines for about twelve years. Yesterday, I was watching the news and added some verses. I thought it might go something like this:

And then, all the sanctions didn't amount to nothing The U.N. inspectors looked for weapons Nuclear and biological warfare posed a threat Everybody knew it though they couldn't prove it yet President Clinton tried, but it was just too hard Keeping Sadang Husang on restriction in the yard

Now here's President George W. Bush Dealing with Sadang again and his new military push Shooting at U.S. planes in the no-fly zone Building up his war machine like he wants to take us on Dubya said his bombs were just routine But they ain't going to stop Sadang Husang I thought I heard the President saying he's going to get that dang Sadang Husang

These next four years might tell the tale Who's going to be Armageddon's Alpha Male? And if any country will prevail In the Holy Land against Israel There might be only one way past these crises America might have to kick all their asses
