BEER WITH NO PUB
A song written after learning that pubs in Ireland would be closed ON ST. PATRICK'S Day in response to the great illness of 2020.

Its scary indeed that a virus is near
Waiting for my blood test finding none around here
There’s nothing more lonesome I’m telling ya Bub
Then to stand by a pile a’ full kegs with no pub

Its painful for sure to rip open a keg
I went to my doctor he said shake a leg
A keg tap he could not prescribe, what a flub
There’s nothing so dry parched and painful as beer with no pub

The barkeep arrived for to pour out green beer
He opened a bottle fore to honor St Patrick dear
He searched for a pint glass but aye there’s the rub
There’s nothing more painful than green beer with no pub

The Donald came over his lies fore to pitch
The crap he was spewing was really quite rich
He slid on his lies right into the bog
Sometimes its quite lovely to have beer and grog with no pub
